VINIFICATION
Grenache and Mataro grapes from Frankland River, and Shiraz grapes from Margaret River were separately harvested, fermented, and then matured in select French oak barrels for 8 months before being blended prior to bottling. 20% new French oak highlights the brightness of the fruit, and the use of seasoned puncheons and barriques perfectly cradles the supple fruit.
TASTING NOTES
This 2022 vintage presents with a bright and youthful bouquet, redolent of twisted blackberry briar and dried wild strawberries, with subtle notes of liquorice strap. The finely textured palate exudes dark cherry and red plum with gentle hints of cottage herb and fennel.
Food Pairing: Lamb Tagine with Prunes or Pasta with Tomato and Nduja sauce.
Cellaring Potential: Now – 8 years.
